| I love this cookware. They are the best pots and pans I have ever used. Nothing burns, nothing sticks - everything comes out perfect and clean up is a breeze. I would highly recommend Calphalon One to anyone. |
Best all-around cook set ever

I bought this set, along with a single anozidized fry pan to complement it. I love the non-stick for its ease of use -- it cooks wonderfully due to the heat conduction capabilities and cleans like a dream! You can also brown better in this non-stick than in others I have tried.
I liked it so well I just bought a set for my niece for her wedding gift!
Compare with the anodized version: I love the anodized version too. While it does not behave like a non-stick, it is better than stainless skillets (I am not sure it would be better than a well-seasoned cast iron skillet) but it behaves admirably when I want a higher temperature sear (e.g., seared tuna). A quick soak removes what sticks on and it cleans up real well.
So I heartily recommend both the anodized and the non-stick!! |
Best cookware...

| Wow, I had no idea the price of these went up so much since I bought this Calphalon one nonstick set 6 years ago. I was looking to add to my set and still plan to as it's such a NICE set of pans. Nothing sticks, it's unbelievably easy to clean. I had just received a Calphalon contemporary (price was right) and it's no way as nice as the Calphalon One is. I have had mine for 6 years and they still look brand new. It's best to not use metal but on occation my husband has used a metal fork/spoon and it did not ruin the surface of my pots and pans. It heats wounderfuly and doesn't require much butter/oil to use. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with Calphalon! I am a lifetime user of this brand and will continue to add more "One's" to my collection! |

This is the starter set of Caphalon One I started with five years ago, even though I did not buy it here. I have had my set of these pans for 5 years now and they are still in great condition. I have gotten my moneys worth like no other pans I have owned. The anodized aluminum transfers heat fast and evenly, and they are all oven safe to 500 degrees. The ergonomic handle that usually does not get hot on the stove top, depending on how you use it. The sell many sepearte piece to go with these, my favorites are the chef's dutch oven in the 7 quart, and the big pan that has the built in strainer. Of course I added some small frying pans for breakfast use. For some reason breakfast does give these some wear and tear. My solution is a set of 1 big and 3 small skillets I use for breakfast. They look really dirty in about 2 years and I replace them. I use my pans that came with set for everything else.
The non-stick surface is very hard and effective . If you have a big mess, just let some hot water sit in it for a few minutes and they just wipe clean. Be careful what scrubbers you use so you do not scratch it, I use a nylon brush to wipe the goop out in the sink. If you do get something to stick, do not use scouring powder, only Bar Keepers Friend powder can scrub without scratching. It is not dishwasher safe, and do not use metal utensils either. And if you satck them, they can sccratch each other, so I use a paper towel between my pans and they look new. Follow these steps and they will last forever.

I was sceptical, I admit it, when I bought this set.
I had previously had Circulon anodized pans which were hopeless.
My Sisier encouraged me to get these, she has them and she wanted to convince me that the Circulon design and not the anodized coating was the problem.
She was so right, these pans do what they say and stay nice and clean to boot, being not at all difficult to keep that way, whatever the task you throw at them. Solid little workhorse pans, wish I had had them years ago! |

I thought I had found the cookware set of my dreams! Unfortunately, the dream lasted only a short-while.
Just after a month of cooking, the nonstick lining started ripping off on saucepan and then on omelette pans. This despite the highest level of care I was doing- using calphalon silicon utensils, using barkeepers' friend (which is recommended on calphalon website). The only thing I can guess is that I was cooking on moderate heat but if that is enough to break apart an expensive nonstick lining, I'd stay away from this product. I cannot imagine not being able to use the cookware for boiling water or soups for example.
